Character Name: Elyon Brown
Fandom: W.I.T.C.H. (Comic series and not the animated series)

Character History:
Elyon Brown Wiki
Elyon Brown is the Light of Meridian - the true ruler of the people of Metamoor/Meridian, which is a different planet from earth. There are 12 different portals surrounding the City of Heatherfield(on Earth) that connects Meridian to Earth. It is because of these twelve portals that the adventure of the 6 protagonists began.

In Heatherfield, Elyon was a normal teenage student, who loves to talk about boys, gush over them, gossip with her friends and cry over failed math exams. Her parents were Thomas and Eleanor Brown. Until the day after the school's Halloween Party, Elyon was nothing more than a normal teenager who was very content with her friends and her school life.

However, all that changed when she met Cedric during the Halloween Party. The girls, Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia and Hay Lin all dared her to go ask Cedric on a date, thinking that he was nothing more but a handsome 10th grader. Elyon agreed to this, and asked Cedric out. The following day, they had a date in Cedric's bookshoppe (Ye Olde Bookshop). There, Cedric told Elyon the truth of who she was. At least, the truth with parts of it withheld for his own personal interest.

Cedric told Elyon about her elder brother Phobos who has missed her immensely since three traitors took away the princess from Metamoor. She learned about how Eleanor (Miriadel) and Thomas (Alborn) were trusted military leaders in her homeworld, and they took Elyon away and brought her to earth. Cedric also told her about the fact that her friends were the guardians of the Veil. That the veil was a barrier that prevented his brother to reach her until it started breaking down. Cedric also said that the Veil was the reason why the people of Meridian had suffered so much. He also told Elyon that she was a Princess in their world.

Of course, none of these were true. Elyon was not only the princess of Meridian, but she was the true Queen of Metamoor and the Light of Meridian. She was an Escanor, thus kept a human-like appearance. Escanors ruled over the lands, but only the matriarchs were given power and not the patriarchs. Which meant that Elyon, and not Phobos, had the right to rule over Meridian. Thus, Phobos rebelled against the tradition and wanted to secure the throne for his own, and suck away the powers of Elyon. This was the reason why Miriadel and Alborn, with the help of Gelgettha (Mrs Rudolf her Math Teacher) escaped to Earth with Elyon by using one of the twelve portals. Thanks to the Veil, Prince Phobos was unable to reach Elyon. The Veil wasn't there to prevent Elyon from coming back, or to prevent the citizens of Meridian from escaping the Metaworld, it was there to make sure that Prince Phobos could never escape.

Because of Cedric's lies which Elyon believed unconditionally, she fought against her friends. Every day, she grew in power just as she was supposed to be. This was because as her form grew, her powers grew as well. She used her powers to oppose the guardians. This was because in her eyes, the guardians were evil. Not only that, but the guardians have betrayed her as her former friends. The lies Cedric told her brought her farther from her human life and into a lonely world which she wasn't sure she truly desired. All she knew was that she was taken away from a life of a Princess, away from her only family, Phobos, and away from the people she was supposed to grow up with.

(Her canon point will be chapter 6, where she still believed Cedric's lies completely). The first six chapters revolved around Elyon fighting the guardians of Kandrakar, thinking that they have trespassed against her. The battle goes back and forth, from Heatherfield to Meridian. Elyon never questioned Cedric's motives until she saw how Will almost got herself killed trying to protect Cedric, and yet, Cedric still tried to kill Will. But before this, Elyon hated the guardians, and didn’t think twice about eliminating them.

After this point, Elyon started to waver. She left the palace and tried to see Meridian with her own eyes, outside of what Cedric was telling her. Meridian was a waste. It was a poverty-stricken city with its people wasting away. Phobos was a power hungry ruler and drained away all the energies of the people. The people of Metamoore knew how to wield the magic of Meridian, and the world was brimming with magic as well. During Phobos' rule, the city was like the Dark Ages of Europe (according to Will Vandom), where only a few held power, and the rest had to deal with poverty. However, immediately after Elyon ascended to the throne, she revived the magic of Meridian once more.

As time passed by, Elyon learned that Meridian was suffering, and she was no longer sure if it was truly the Guardian's fault. Soon she learned that her foster parents really loved her and that perhaps Cedric was truly lying to her. With the help of the Guardians, she was able to expose her brother's true nature. She realized that during her coronation day, if she had not agreed to an astral drop (doppelganger) replacing her on the stage, her brother would have drained her of all her powers and she would have been left dead.

After the failed assassination attempt, the people of Meridian rose up to fight against the guards of Phobos. Elyon with the help of the Guardians took on Cedric and Phobos. In the end, she got back the crown of light, awakened her full powers and brought back the magic and light of Meridian to the way it was prior to Phobos's rule.

She was then asked by her friends if she was going back to Heatherfield. She shook her head and told her friends that Meridian was where she belonged with her people.

Character Personality:
(Elyon's personality is different pre-chapter 7, post chapter 6 and post-coronation. Aside from this, her personality is also different prior to meeting Cedric. I will focus more on her personality pre-chapter 7)

If there are two words that would adequately describe Elyon, it would be “Vengeful” and “Brat”. However, it wasn’t always this way. In chapter 7 (Someday you’ll Meet Him) there was a long preview of how Elyon was prior to the corruption of Cedric.

Elyon used to be a very sweet girl who loved drawing. She was very close to Eleanor and Thomas Brown. Later on, even if they were branded as traitors, when she wanted to know the truth, she came to them. And was absolutely horrified to the point of anger, when she saw that the prison guards had hurt her parents (chapter 8). However due to Cedric’s influences, she almost instantly turned against her parents and calling them traitors as well. But after her parents were taken away initially, she didn’t sought to see her parents in prison right away, because a huge part of her respected them and couldn’t believe that the parents she had known were traitors. So when her parents arrived after Cedric made initial contact with Elyon, she ran to her parents first to seek their explanation.

Elyon grew up with a simple family, so she isn’t quite a spoiled brat most especially prior to becoming a princess of Meridian. She doesn’t easily get scared or grossed out by slimy or dark places. And she doesn’t seem to fear creatures that are different from her as shown with how she reacted to Cedric’s true form.

In chapter 7, the preview of Elyon’s past, it showed that she had a very tight bond with Cornelia. She was there for Cornelia during her skating competition and was cheering for her completely. It also showed how precious she was to Cornelia with the way she was called Cornelia’s “lucky charm”. It showed how good a friend Elyon can be. When Cornelia got back to the locker room after the competition, Elyon was asking Cornelia about her love life. It showed that Elyon was very up-to-date with Cornelia’s suitors, and it showed how concerned she was about Cornelia. This was because Cornelia was in love with this boy from her dreams, Caleb. Elyon wanted to persuade Cornelia to entertain her suitors for now until she hasn’t met the guy of her dreams, but Cornelia refused. So instead Elyon gave her a drawing of how she thought Caleb looked like which of course Cornelia appreciated. Almost like Hay Lin, Elyon loves to draw for her friends to make them happy.

Cornelia and Elyon were very close to each other which was the reason why Cornelia never gave up on Elyon even when all their friends were against it. Prior to the arrival of Cedric, for Cornelia, Elyon was a true and kind friend.

When she thought she was still just a human, Elyon was the friendly kind of person. She was very kind to the new arrivals, Will Vandom and Taranee Cook. She easily gets depressed when she gets a low grade especially with her Math subject. Thus, she is subject to teasing from her friends because of her grades. She has a huge crush on the rebel-type student, Matt, and gushes over him. This is another reason for getting teased by her friends.

Elyon is the jealous-type. When she saw Will’s astral drop kiss Matt, she instantly loses her patience and gets quite furious. Elyon’s anger is her downfall. This leads her to say or do things that she barely thinks about prior to execution.

Just like Cedric, Elyon is good at deceiving people. She has the ability to change appearances, and with this, change her personality as well. She was able to deceive Will, as an assistant trainer named Vera. She was very cheerful and supportive. And until Will’s phone warned Will about Elyon’s powers, no one knew that it was actually Elyon. She was able to carry it out without her true personality revealing itself. So it shows how pretentious Elyon can be and how well she can hide her true feelings.

Elyon can be very trusting. Though she questioned Cedric in the beginning, she trusted him completely afterwards. Like was mentioned in the comic series, ‘A lie or gossip needs a willing ear’ and Elyon was willing enough to listen to everything Cedric said the moment she saw Eleanor and Thomas’ real form. This also shows how gullible Elyon can be. She bought Cedric’s lie completely, which made her lose her friends and family from Heatherfield. Even Cornelia who was her best friend from childhood was not spared from her vengeance.

Elyon easily gets emotional. This happens often when she remembers how she was so easily taken from her real world, and brought up by fake parents. She’s not absolutely bad antagonist. She simply thinks that Vengeance is part of her birthright. She doesn’t do any harm which is unnecessary. She simply wants the Guardians to suffer the way she felt like they should considering all the pains he had to deal with.

At this canon point however, Elyon is spoiled by Cedric. He whispers beautiful words to her ears about power and being royalty. So she thinks highly of herself. And unlike her pre-Cedric personality, she is no longer that cheerful or trusting. Most of the time, she has a sadistic sneer on her face. She doesn’t question Cedric, and thus, she does not question her actions to be wrong. As far as she’s concerned, she was wronged, and what she was doing was right.

Sadly, because she feels so betrayed by those people she once loved; it will be very difficult for her to trust people. At the same time, it would be difficult for her to believe in friendship and to make new friends.

Powers and Abilities:
It is said that the Element of Light, or Matter is under Elyon’s complete control. She owns the Crown of Light, which helps her make use of all her powers to a much greater degree (However, for Nautilus, she won’t have this crown because of her canon point and for RP purposes).

The following is a list of powers, abilities, and other talents that Elyon possesses: (as indicated in her Wiki page. Though some of them was taken out)

Photokinesis:
-She has the ability to control and manipulate forms of light. She can generate waves and lightning bolts of energy and force.

Chronokinesis:
-She has the ability to manipulate and warp time
-This shall not be used in Nautilus

Reality Warping:
-She can manipulate physical reality, changing it at will. She is capable of turning drawings, thoughts or even stories into reality.
-As seen in chapter 2, she was able to use her magic to seal the guardians inside a painting. And once inside, everything was moving, and it almost feels like a real world on its own. Though its nothing more than a fancy prison.

Portals Generation:
-She can create portals between Meridian and Earth, including ones that alter the matter that passes through it.
-This allowed Elyon to travel through worlds.
-This shall not be used in Nautilus

Ghosts Generation:
-The ability to create duplicates of herself, ghostly images similar to the Astral Drops used by the Guardians of Kandrakar.
-These illusionary copies known as Ghosts, and are capable of moving independently of Elyon, but have no shadows, nor do they react as a real person would. If they are touched they disappear. She can create as many as she wants.

Astral Form Projection:
-She can project an astral form, partly transparent, even between Meridian and Earth. Unlike her ghostly copies, this form is the true Elyon, and she is able to use it to communicate.

Teleportation:
-She is able to teleport herself, even between dimensions.
-The teleportation between dimensions shall not be used in Nautilus

Telekinesis:
-She has the ability to move objects with her mind

Intangibility:
-Phase through walls and presumably other solid objects.

Clarividence:
-Depict scenes of the future in drawings, though Elyon uses this power unintentionally and without knowledge of it.
-This is shown in Chapter 7 where she draws Caleb back when he hasn’t existed yet.

Bubble Prison
-Trap others in an impenetrable transparent bubble prison.
-However this bubble prison was broken by Taranee who can control fire.

Temporarily remove other's body parts, as she did with Taranee's mouth to stop her from warning the Guardians. This can be seen as reality warping.

Metamorphosis:
-She can change her appearance (glamour). This can also be seen as reality warping.
-She was able to change into Vera (chap6) which at the time was a person whom did not exist. She was taller, older, and looked very different from her usual form. And her voice changed as well.

Cryokinesis:
-She can make ice appear or freeze anything or anyone.

Energy Blast:
Elyon can fire blasts of pure energy from her hands.

Elements Manipulation:
She has power over the five natural elements: Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Quintessence

[The feed opens with the princess of Meridian’s light blue eyes staring at the device. There was an irritated look on her face as she tried to get up from the floor beside the fountain. She took a few moments to fix her long blue dress and her ash blonde hair.

She looks around for any signs of the Guardians or her companions.]

CEDRIC! VATHEK!

[She shouted repeatedly, though none of them came to her aide. However people were starting to form a circle around her. She had to take a few steps back - scared of the growing number. She glanced at the people around her, and they didn’t look or feel like the people of Meridian. However, she did not recognize any of the people surrounding the fountain from when she was still on Earth.]

Is this Heatherfield? Where am I?

Third Person:
It was a cold afternoon, the perfect weather for a nice slice of Pizza. So there she was, the Princess of Meridian, blowing on a slice of Pepperoni Pizza not far away from the shop where she bought it from.

She found a nice shady tree which was far from the main road. She never really loved having people’s attention on her so she made sure the area was secluded. Among her group of friends, it was Irma who always took all the attention. She loved it that way. Aside from Irma, there was Cornelia who got all the attention not because she wanted it, but because she deserved it. Elyon was always proud to have Cornelia as a friend. Not just a friend, her best friend.

Blowing once more on the slice of pie, tears started to fall on Elyon Brown’s eyes. She missed Cornelia. She’d never admit it to her, but she missed her best friend dearly. Most especially now that she had absolutely no one by her side in a strange new city. Cornelia’s strong personality was Elyon’s main support. Just like Thomas and Eleanor where her strength in hard times. ‘Where were they when Elyon needed them most?’, she wondered. She had never felt so alone until today.

In an instant, Cedric’s words embraced her thoughts. Almost repeatedly the words ‘Traitors’ and ‘Enemies’ drowned the memories of Cornelia and her fake parents. They took her away from her real home, from Meridian. They prevented her loving brother from finding her and bringing her home. They were the reason why the people of Meridian were so unhappy.

“They were not friends, they are my enemies.”, she told herself repeatedly for every bite she took. Slowly the tears were whisked away by the cool winds of Nautilus. Once more the warm heart of Elyon Brown was locked away behind the strong walls set up by Princess Elyon Escanor.

With one last bite of her pizza, she disintegrated the empty container. She looked at the people who were walking happily around the city, far from her, with cold and unforgiving eyes. “None of them are my friends. They also took me away from my brother. They are my enemies.”
